3v3 Tournament Rules and Guidelines

The rink size will be between 18mx9m and 22mx11m (regular rink size is about 36mx18m)

We will be using the regular sized nets.

Games will be 2x10 minute halves with 2 minutes in between. No time outs, no stoppages in time unless for injury. Games will start on the hour and half hour.

We will have volunteer refs, please respect them as they’re not trained, they’re just doing their best. We’re here to have fun.

Round robin games will end in a tie.

For the final game, there will be a 5 minute golden goal overtime. If it is still tied, we will do a shootout using 3 field players from each team. If the score is still equal after this, the same players shall take one penalty shot each until a decisive result is achieved.

We will have 4-6 teams of 5-6 runners, goalies may be utilized for multiple teams and if we have enough teams and goalies we will run two rinks. The schedule will come out the Monday before the tournament once all RSVPs are in.
